CHAOQIU

A native of Shanghai, Chaoqiu comes from an affluent family well established in jadeite trading and art collecting. Her family’s deep-rooted passion in the field helped her have access to fine gemstones at a very young after working with prestigious names such as Rappaport Diamonds, Chaoqiu founded QIU Fine Jewelry, her own design studio focusing on timeless design and precious quality, in 2014, shortly after she achieved her diploma from GIA, Chaoqiu transformed her deep appreciation of art, fashion, and nature to her artistic creations and fine jewelry. Chaoqiu strives to work with one-of-kind gemstones to create bespoke and timeless jewelry pieces.

Chaoqiu’s philosophy has always been to present her clients with unique jewelry, containing a wealth of details and textures, worthy of the most exquisite precious stones. Since 2014, Chaoqiu’s remarkable design work enabled her to be widely recognized by some of the most influential jewelry and design media houses in the world such as Bazaar Jewelry China and Architectural Digest China. She was subsequently invited to speak at International Channel Shanghai “Madz Collection” about traditional jadeite craftsmanship and contemporary design. In 2016, her highly recognized jewelry sketches were included in a show themed “Drawing Hands“at the Magda Danysz Gallery in Shanghai. This year she continued to gain worldwide attention by becoming one of the 20 global ambassadors for the renowned fashion website Farfetch.com.
